Wanted to comment on the outstanding care received in the a&e department this week when I took my toddler in with a suspected broken arm. Despite the place being incredibly busy (school holidays) we were seen promptly and the 'personal' approach of all staff limited the trauma in what was a very distressing day for my little boy.
On our additional visit to the fracture clinic 2 days later we were called at 8. 30 am with guidance to come in that day, having driven straight there were seen immediately and left, with my sone in a cast, by 9. 15am. I had read all sorts of horror stories about waits for fracture clinic- do not believe the hype! !
