"Dreadful EPU!"

About: Countess Of Chester Hospital

After bleeding for a whole week called here again to be told unless bleeding heavily and in pain then to carry on as i was. Being 5 and a half weeks pregnant and continually bleeding for a week i was wondering what it would take to be seen! Called back and said actually i would class bleeding heavily as a week and urged to be seen (this was after about 15 phone calls as no one answered the phone) To be honest i think all the nurses that worked that day thought all i wanted was an early birthing scan ....after pumping my veins / cervical examination (after repeatedly asking could i just have a scan this was all that was necessary at the time i feel) a doctor came up and conducted the scan. The doctor who was extremely lovely ! They advised me within a few minutes after they had scanned me that there was no longer a pregnancy. It was very sad but after the anxiety of the bleeding for over a week it was nice to finally be told were i was with everything! The nurses all came rushing to me then with sympathetic faces i dont think that they had expected that result! I was angry with how i was treated and how they treat early pregnancy. When they did the cervical examination on me i burst out crying to which the nurses just left after handing me sanitary towels and a box of tissues. No emotion in the nurses at all...would intend to go private next time! The nurses i feel just dont have a very nice attitude, the doctor on the other hand was excellent she certainly had emotion and was warm. Thank you Dr.
