"Excellent staff"

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus / Upper gastrointestinal sugery

(as a relative),

My Dad was recently admitted to ward F21 at QMC following a GI bleed. Sadly we found out he has stomach cancer. The standard of nursing care on the ward was excellent. I am a nurse myself & I observed nursing staff who were professional in all aspects of care delivery. Hand hygiene was brilliant, patient buzzers were responded to in a timely manner & by nurses with a cheerful attitude. The ward felt calm and appeared clean and tidy. Although the diagnosis was not good, the stay on ward F21 could not have been better. Our only area of concern was not being able to find out the result of the MDT meeting before discharge.

Thank you for taking the time to give your feedback regarding the recent admission of your Dad at NUH - Queens Medical Centre.

I am sorry to hear that the diagnosis wasn't good, but am pleased that in all other respects the expereince was a positive one.

I shall forward your thanks and praise on to the hospital.

I wish you and your family all the best during this difficult time.
