"Excellent care"

About: Friarage Hospital Site

I was very well looked after in the a and e department. The receptionist, nurse and doctor that looked after me were all very caring and professional. Being very scared of hospitals I was completely put at ease due to the friendliness of the staff. My local gp surgery could learn a lot from these people! Also the hospital was spotlessly clean. Thank you to all in the a and e department on Friday evening 5/8/16, your care was much appreciated.

Good morning

Thank you for your kind comments left on the NHS Choices Website expressing gratitude for the care and treatment recently afforded to you by the Accident and Emergency Services at the Friarage Hospital, Northallerton, and for your observations on the cleanliness of the Department.

I am very pleased that your attendance at The Friarage Hospital was such a positive experience.

It is always pleasing to receive a message of thanks and I very much appreciate you taking the time to contact the Trust.

I will ensure your kind comments are passed to Senior Managers for the relevant area, so the members of staff concerned are made aware of the positive feedback received from you.

It may interest you to know the trust welcomes nominations for the Trust’s annual ‘Nightingale Awards’ which, once a year, recognises the important contribution nurses and midwives make to patients and their families on a day-to-day basis.

Forms to nominate nurses and midwives for a Nightingale Award are available from the Director of Nursing’s office on 01642 854344 or by emailing val.fothergill@stees.nhs.uk

Thank you again for your kind words.

Kind regards
