I was referred by my local hospital for emergency surgery for a detached retina. Although at check in at the surgery unit they had no record of this the nurse in charge quickly chased this up and kept me updated at all times.
Staff on the ward were caring and friendly and kept me updated on everything.
They were reassuring and explained things in an understanding way.
The surgeon and anaesthetic team were very informative and gave reassurance and opportunity to ask questions.
I would recommend the day surgery unit.
