"A week in the life of a complete idiot"

About: Wexham Park Hospital

Simply I bought a mountain bike to remove biscuit and sweets residue. 5 miles and 1 subtrouchanteric fracture of the right femur later......They scooped me out the gutter in the best way possible (it was never going to be easy) doing all they could to minimise my pain. They took me to Wexham Park Hospital A&E where they diagnosed then stabilised the injury, almost pain free. Within 12 hours they operated and repaired the leg with a metal rod and cables. Post operative care picked up the infection before I new I had one. They transferred me to the acute medical unit, who ran every test/scan ever invented , pinpointed and treated the infection then shipped me to orthopaedics for Obs then discharge

They are shamefully understaffed, most definitely under payed, and relentlessly overworked, but every single last one of them took care of me like I was family. I don't have enough space or the vocabulary to express the gratitude I feel to these special people, so a simple but heartfelt, Thank you one and all, will have to do.

Dear Dave

Thank you very much for taking the time to leave your review.

I'm sorry to hear your fitness campaign ended so suddenly and unexpectedly! I'm pleased to hear that our team looked after you well and made you feel like a member of the family.

It is feedback like yours that makes it all worthwhile.

They will be delighted.

I hope you recover quickly

Best wishes

Claire Marshall
