"Wisdom tooth removal"

About: Edgware Community Hospital

Disappointed with their service. On the morning of my appointment, I called up to asked whether it was okay to still have my wisdom top wisdom tooth removed (as I was warned it was almost touching my sinus nerve) and I had come down with a cold. The person I spoke to, explained its prob not best too have it do done, but will get someone to call me up around 9ish to discuss this and I can also rearrange if I want. I did not state I wanted to cancel the appointment. So at 12pm I get this phone call, saying I wanted to cancel the appointment. I said no I didn't say that, I still want to keep my appointment I wanted advice in the morning. So the member of staff said that's fine will see you later. Anyway I arrived at the hospital, to a nurse that was extremely rude, unwelcoming and just shouted at me in front of everyone. I had to ask why are you shouting at me? For them to rudely say this is how I normally talk! Yeah right! They were absolutely horrible and to think they are a nurse.

My 2 years old daughter was with me and two of my family members. I was appalled. They shouted "I spoke with you, you cancelled" I said no you told me, someone will call me and I can discuss it. They then belittle that person, by saying they ain't a nurse. I'm a nurse I spoke with you first, during our conversation not once did they say they were the nurse! Like it would of changed anything anyway! I then explained to that I'm meant to have two wisdom teeth taken out and whether I can get the bottom one out today, then they started to shout again "No we only have you down for one tooth removal." Then they started shouting they hated the RFH as they didn't tell them. Unbelievable how unprofessional, how can you talk about another hospital like that, and too be fair a extremely good hospital people know about. Anyway to cut this story short. RFH did tell them the referral was sitting in the appointment ladies room, but because it wasn't in my notes they just assumed. So no it wasn't the RFH fault, the referral a should be put into the patients notes. Not left in the appointment book the way it was. So regardless of my phone call in the morning that might of confused them. The whole appointment would of been ruined just because the nurse didn't see the new referral. Ive been waiting since January for this appointment. And after the extreme rudeness from this nurse in that department I will not be going there again ever for treatment, I will not put my care into uncaring people's hands and it's bad that nurse can be so rude like that. So upset with this.?
