"Caring staff for gastroscopy"

About: Cannock Chase Hospital / Gastroenterology

(as the patient),

Arrived at 3. 10 for a Gastroscopy appointment. Called in at 4. 15.

After my stressful wait I was put at ease by all staff that dealt with me. They made me feel less anxious about the procedure. I had throat spray and sedative and to be honest I cant remember much about the whole thing.

My only gripes really are the waiting time and the two different times when you should be starving from, the letter said from 8am and the leaflet said 6 hours before. I think this should be made clearer.

My overall experience at this hospital was excellent, many thanks to all staff for putting me at ease with this anxious and stressful procedure. It was lovely to be treated with genuine caring hospital staff. Keep up the good work!
