"Horse riding accident"

About: South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as the patient),

I fell off a horse and was unconscious for some while.

I was initially attended by Tom, paramedic from Morton in Marsh. His care and attention were superb. We had to wait some time for an ambulance and then later for the air ambulance and during this time he talked to me, checked me constantly and helped with the pain. I cannot praise him too highly - he was outstanding and I am very grateful.

I was eventually airlifted to Gloucester hospital and thankfully have since been discharged and all is OK. It was a pretty scary accident and I am just so grateful to everyone concerned - Tom, the ambulance crew and the air ambulance crew.

Hi Steel

Thank you for taking the time to share your story - I hope you are recovering well.

It is always rewarding to hear stories of how our staff are delivering care and support to patients when they need it most.

We will ensure that your feedback is shared with Tom, and his colleagues, who I am sure will really appreciate your kind words.

Thank you, again, for taking the time to provide our service with feedback.

Kind Regards

Sara
