"Devastated"

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - City Campus / General surgery

(as the patient),

I was admitted to Nottingham City Hospital on a cancellation for surgery., My consultant came to see me in the morning to say I was on the afternoon list and all would be sorted during the surgery. I was prepped for surgery and was waiting to go when the consultant whose list it was came to see me to say that he would not allow my surgery on his list and sent me home. he told me that the problem would disappear by itself but could take months or more than a year. Despite me trying to tell him that the pain keeps me awake at night as well as hurting during the day, it seemed to me he wasn't bothered about that and still sent me home.

I am devastated at being treated like that. I think this is disgraceful.
