I was admitted to ESCU following quite a lengthy surgical procedure.
I cannot fault the staff which were on that night, I do not recall the names of the nurses and HCA but it was on the 2nd August 2016.
When the day staff arrived they were all very happy and seemed to be enjoying their jobs.
The hca took the time out to speak to me quite a bit as they stayed near where i lived whilst at Uni and even shared the same GP, but professionalism never lacked and they seemed to get on well with all patients and other members of staff.
They were both very attentive and totally professional.
The nurse was especially very good at their work and the nurse knew when people needed help (rather than refuse it) like myself (i did not want to be any bother to them as I could see they were very busy and dealing with people in worse situations than myself. On the Second day of my stay my named Nurse stayed the same but my HCA changed they also were very professional.
I was transferred ot Clapham ward on the last evening and the staff there was also pleasant and professional right down to the HCA.
If I had any family or friends who needed to attend hospital for any form of Surgery I would definitely say to them to choose Worthing Hospital.
Also, on the day of discharge I was ready to go with all my blood tests completed and paperwork done by 17.00, this is the time that I said that my husband could pick me up and there was no waiting around.
