Thank you for taking the time to write to us about your experience at Central Manchester University Hospitals via the NHS Choices website. It is important to us that comments are heard and seen as an opportunity to make changes and improvements wherever possible.

We are very sorry to hear of your experience at Manchester Diabetes Centre, when you were not able to access an appointment. Unfortunately the Manchester Diabetes Centre does not offer a drop in clinic, however the Diabetes Centre does offer urgent nurse-led appointments to help support patients with urgent needs and these are normally arranged within 1-4 days. The Diabetes Centre team would like to assure you that you should not have to wait 3 months. Please contact the Diabetes Centre: telephone 0161 276 6707 or in person, to arrange an urgent nurse-led appointment.

It is difficult to respond in full to your concerns without more detail but please be assured that the issues you have detailed have been taken seriously and shared with the Directorate Manager of Outpatient Medical Specialities who will be taking appropriate action to ensure that urgent nurse-led appointments are available.
