Efficient service in Pathology

What could be improved

I was very surprised (and a little offended) to be addressed by my Christian name when my turn came to be called forward for my blood test. This was done in front of a room full of people I did not know. I don't know where this practise of over-familiarity with complete strangers has come from, but I found it uncomfortable. Can I politely suggest that your customers should be treated with a bit more respect? (PS Otherwise the staff and service were very good.)

We're glad that your overall experience of the pathology service at the Lister was good, but we're sorry that you found being addresses by your christian name offensive. We will alert the team involved so that they are reminded to be aware of people's sensitivities on such important matters.
