"A lovely member of staff."

About: Hull Royal Infirmary

I was sent to the minor injuries unit after a discussion with 111, in the early hours of 4th August. I had been having a lot of discomfort with a plaster cast, which hadn't been on long, but needed removing. At about 2 am, matron stood and explained that there would be a 4 hour wait to see a doctor. We were all asked that if we had ant queries to go and speak to them. I did, explained my situation, and was given advice, and alternatives to a cast. I left the hospital, and followed the advice. The upshot is, that thanks to this person's advice, I got an emergency appointment at my local fracture clinic, explained the problems I was having and asked if I could be considered for a walking boot. My cast was removed, I was thoroughly examined, many fitted with a walking boot. I want to thank this person, they were absolutely honest and helpful to all.
