"The nursing staff were 1st class. ..."

About: Kent & Canterbury Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

The nursing staff were 1st class. They were sympathetic, Friendly and professional. The standard of cleanliness was certainly better than the last time I was unfortunate enough to need hospitalisation.

What could be improved

The food was quite terrible in fact one day it was so bad everybody I have spoken to that had that menu all left the food. It seems such a waste of resorces to see all that food go into the gash bucket and maybe management might find it eyeopening to have a spot check occasionally. When one considers that the doctors and nurses are working so hard to get everyone fit and healthy and to keep morale high amongst the patients. All this work is endangered by the poor quality of food. I have spent a lot of my life in situations requiring bulk cooking (Army & Merchant Navy) so I know there is no need for poor food coming out of the kitchens.

Anything else?

If the food was up to standard the K&C would be my hospital of choice but until that improves then I'm sorry I will go elsewhere.
