Father admitted to Monklands after severe abdominal pains (PMH stomach CA & resent chemo), took 3 days to CT him, no one spoke to us & when we approached the nursing staff they didn't know anything..except he has a perforation "somewhere"& they are waiting on a bed at WGEN... Due to there being no beds in the surgical ward he is left at Monklands suffering & in agony & no idea when a bed will be available. It's not his fault there's a bed shortage yet he has to suffer, I don't think that this is patient care.
It's awful having to watch him in so much pain & distress, he's been through enough.
