"Bowel screening programme - colonoscopy"

About: Queen Margaret Hospital / General Medicine

(as the patient),

Bowel screening indicated traces of blood (in two tests) and as a result I was required to have a colonoscopy. After a short wait of 2/3 weeks the examination was conducted at my local hospital and whilst the whole process caused my some anxiety, the outcome was good. The nursing Staff in particular, were very friendly and supportive with the colonoscopy itself causing me no difficulty whatsoever. All in all, a big thank you for the excellent care I received.
