I had this procedure at lancaster royal infirmary this morning took pain relief as instructed found the procedure very uncomfortable but staff asked if I was ok thru out had a mirena coil fitted at same time and biopsies 8 hrs later at home after taking pain relief im uncomfortable still bad period pain and bleeding I couldnt be at work as feel sickly too I was told before that I wouldnt need a general anaesthetic as ive had three children! Not a nice experience Would have loved sedation! Hope I feel better tomorrow as I'm my mums carer ive laid on my bed most of the day with discomfort

It was unhelpful that I wasnt told I would bleed so didnt bring sanitary protection! Still bleeding a week later thank god pain has subsided! Have the odd twinge now and again! To be told by the consultant I wouldnt need pain relief as I have had three children I think was rediculous I feel I am now dreading any further procedures and will definately need sedation if need another procedure
