"Very happy with the service we received"

I live in Harlow so was due to have my baby at Princess Alexandra hospital. I had frequent bouts of reduced movements and times where I thought my waters were leaking and each time I rang the hospital I got through to the maternal and fetal assessment unit straight away and was able to talk through my concerns with a midwife. They were fantastic and always booked me an appointment to come in that day. I also saw a consultant who was helpful and I truly felt listened to. When my waters did eventually break I went straight to the hospital as I have GBS and previous labour was fast progression. They immediately admitted me and we were taken to a room, I was given a cannula and they started my drip a few hours later. We waited all night and day for contractions and in the meantime were given lots of food and tea and the midwife regularly monitored me and the baby. We went into labour ward that evening and they started an induction drip. The midwife was lovely. They did not leave us once accept to call the anesthetist, we also frequently saw the doctors and registrars who were friendly and knowledgeable. The night we had the baby we paid to stay in the private room and received excellent aftercare. The staff went above and beyond to help and advise us. Every single member of staff was friendly, helpful and accommodating. I honestly do not think we could have had a better experience at a private hospital.
