"I am very worried about my 11 year old daughter "

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus / General medicine

(as a carer),

My 11 year old daughter has been very unwell and our doctor has referred her to Queens Medical Hospital. They are talking about taking CAT scans etc so she is seriously ill. They said that she would have an appointment as soon as possible. A letter arrived second class in March at lunchtime for an appointment at 10.30am for the same day. So by the time we had received the letter we had already missed the appointment. The next available appointment is in May which is a long way off. Obviously as a parent I am very worried about my 11 year old daughter and this is just not acceptable. I am going to call the hospital to see if this appointment can be changed.

Dear Vet599

I am sorry to hear that your daughter is unwell and about the problems you have had with the appointment. I hope that once you have spoken to the hospital the appointment can be re-arranged.

If you have further problems you can always contact Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) at NUH who will be able to help you. Their contact details are: 0800 1830204 or pals@nuh.nhs.uk

Best wishes
