"Excellent service at Hutchings Ward"

I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation for the way in which I was treated during my recent attendance at the Colorectal Surgery Clinic at Hutchings Ward.

I can report that everyone with whom I came in contact, from the charming member of staff on the Clinic Reception onwards, whether nursing or clerical staff, greeted me with a smile. I was (and am) an extremely nervous patient and these kind acts put me very much at ease and reassured me.

I realise that the NHS and its personnel are under tremendous pressures these days and it is a credit to the hospital that your people, in their very busy days, provide these little touches of kindness which mean a great deal.
