I have recently stayed at Halton Hospital for 4 days after having a tumour on my right thyroid removed.
The cleaning staff were very thorough. Food wasn't bad, though sometimes not as described (pears in chocolate sauce turned out to be tinned pears with syrup and custard-yeuchh!).
The nurses were great, they offered lots of reassurances and seemed happy to help.
The only problem I had was the bay I was in was near the nurses station so it remained light and noisy at night-so struggling to sleep you heard lots of great discussions!
