"Lack of compassion"

About: Broomfield Hospital

I waited to be seen for over an hour. Sitting outside in the corridor I could here the practitioner I was to see using a loud voice in all their telephone communications in an unpleasant manner. I could also here all the details of their dialogue with the two patients before me. During my consultation the doctor presented as someone without people skills, lacking in compassion and with very poor listening skills. The specialist clinical nursing staff were fantastic and dealt brilliantly with my distress post consultation. I used to be a lecturer at Anglia University on the Health and Social Care course so I do know poor practice when I encounter it!

Thank you for the feedback. I am sorry for the distress that you suffered during the consultation. I have forwarded your feedback to the Urology Service Manager to address with the team.
