"out of a six day stay the only ..."

About: Selly Oak Hospital (Acute)

(as the patient),

What I liked

out of a six day stay the only thing i liked about it was three members of staff who where the only ones who showed any compassion or caring

What could be improved

Just about everything could have been improved. I was kept waiting for over 2 hours for pain relief. when the emergency buzzer was pressed no one answered and it was only when several off the patients started shouting that anyone came to see what the problems where. myself and two other patients had to scream and shout for a nurse as an 88 year old lady with a broken hip had not been visited by staff for 2 hours and was in so much distress that she was lying across the bed and liable to fall out even though we had pressed the emergency buttons it was a long time before any one came. Pain relief that was due at 10pm was hardly ever given until midnight. i could go on but every time I think about how |I was treated I become hysterical

Anything else?

something needs to be done quickly people are being left in pain and treated quite badly
