"Excellent care and kindness"

About: Burnley General Hospital

I attended dermatology outpatients twice , the second I had to have 2 moles removed from my abdomen . I was extremely nervous to the point of tears but the surgeon and especially the healthcare assistants were amazing. They reassured me , discussed my fears and alleviated them, treated me with dignity and respect and just as important held my hand through the whole operation ! I went from crying with terror to laughing about the surgeons sowing skills ! The one particular healthcare assistant was so kind to me and showed such empathy I wanted to hug them afterwards. A truly traumatic experience was avoided by caring dedicated staff. I'm very thankful and would recommend the department highly-many thanks
