"Excellent from start to finish"

Having previously had day surgery in addenbrooks resulting in a 4 day stay I was feeling slightly nervous the same would happen again.

However this was a totally different experience. About 10 of us checked in together minimum wait before being shown to our bay. It was like a conveyor belt but it worked. Within minutes we were seen by nurse surgeon and anesthetic. When changed to our gowns there was seperate male and female waiting rooms with TV magazines. Everything is compact. Everyone was smiley friendly. Willing to help.

The relaxed atmosphere helped the patients relax who chatted amongst themselves. As soon as I was finished my sister was rung to collect me tea and toast hot and fresh given. A visit by the surgeon and by lunch time I was home with all the necessary paperwork work very clear follow up instructions. This morning a follow up call from the hospital to check I was ok and with instruction who to contact over the weekend if I had any problems.

This is my first experience of Ely and I cannot rate highly enough. Thanks to all the staff for making my short stay memorable for the right reasons.
