"Wonderful care throughout"

About: St Mary's Hospital (Manchester)

I attended St Marys for my second pregnancy including an elective c-section as I had a traumatic labour the first time at Wythenshaw hospital with a third degree tear. The care I received throughout was outstanding. I was very anxious about the birth due to the first time but everyone at St Marys made sure I felt relaxed and the c-section itself went really well. Everyone on the day were incredible including the aftercare on the recovery ward. I am so grateful to them and can't recommend this hospital enough.

Thank you for your positive comments posted on the NHS Choices website regarding your care in the Maternity Services at Saint Mary’s Hospital. It was very kind of you to take the time to write and compliment the staff as it is good to receive positive feedback which reflects the hard work and dedication of our staff. It was reassuring to read that the midwifery and medical staff were able to support you through a very anxious time and that your birth experience was a very positive one. I can assure you that we have passed on your thoughts to Mrs Kathy Murphy, Deputy Director of Nursing and Head of Midwifery, Dr Clare Tower Clinical Director for Obstetrics and the staff involved.
