"Worst experience of my life."

About: Queen's Hospital (Romford)

on Thursday I found myself in tremendous pain While in the early stages of pregnancy I went to a & e where I was asked to explain my problem In front of a room full of strangers and handed a pot to urinate in.

I was left for 2 hours sitting in the waiting room while I miscarried. It was really lovely to share that experience with some many strangers. Especially with the homeless man who sat sleeping in his urine and God knows what else soaked pyjamas. I was then seen in triage where the nurse disappeared as they Couldn't find any pregnancy tests. Then a friend came in and they discussed what they would have at lunch and who would be using the room when they went on lunch. Don't worry

I'm just losing my baby carry on. Pretend I'm not here. I was then told to go to the early pregnancy unit. I stuck in a room outside the unit like i have leperacy. So I sit around for another 2 hours. I walk in there's 2 other but then Slowly more come. At this point I know we are all sitting here for the same reason. Women are crying all around me. But it was really nice to hear the nurses who haven't seen each other in a while laughing and joking because it had been so long. I'm given another pregnancy test. I then see a doctor who tells me they are going to scan me to see what is happening as soon as possible. Tells me they are writing potential misscarriage on my paper work takes me back out. Now I'm thinking I'll be able to find out what happening to my baby. I'm sat at the desk a nurse flicks through some papers and tells me they will book me in for 31st. That's 10 days away. The nurse then said the green button to let myself out is under the sign on the wall. Now I know nurses see this kind of stuff all the time but this was my first miscarriage. This baby was wanted it took 9 months to get pregnant. While us women sat their crying for our loss your team could have shown a little compassion. I wasn't told what to expect what to look out for or what I could do to ease the pain. A&e wasn't busy the pregnancy unit wasn't busy but it took 4 hours to book me in for a scan that I have to wait nearly 2 weeks for, all that time I was losing my baby with strangers. Thank you queens for making a terrible painful experience even more awful. I hope I never have to visit you again.
