About: Altrincham General Hospital

Arrived to be told I have one and a half hours to wait for a blood test ! I'm told this is not too bad for this hospital! Not good enough by a long way. I have had to take a day off work for this!

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to learn that your experience was not as positive as we would hope when you visited Altrincham Hospital Phlebotomy Department in July.

Please accept our apologies for the frustration and inconvenience you experienced as waiting of an hour and a half for a blood test is not acceptable. The phlebotomy team do try and inform patients of delays for blood tests to enable them to make an informed decision as to whether to wait or return at a less busy time. Please be assured that the Altrincham Hospital Management team are currently identifying actions to address staff numbers with a view to maintaining an efficient phlebotomy service.
