"Breast cancer care team"

About: The Royal Glamorgan Hospital / General Surgery

(as the patient),

I was operated by Mr Eifion Vaughan Williams and his team in April 2016. I had a lumpectomy and sentinel mode removal. In May I had more lymph nodes removed which were all clear thankfully. I have been troubled with lymphodaema and a seroma and was discharged from Ward 8 after having an infection treated by IV antibiotics and a small op.

My treatment has always been swift and done so well. I can honestly say from my diagnosis and subsequent treatment I have had excellent care and support. I couldn't have had better treatment if I had paid. I felt as if I was truly cared for not just treated.

After going through my husband being diagnosed with cancer 3 times Mr Vaughan Williams and his Breast care nurses appreciated the whole situation and as soon as my wonderful results arrived I was told and not made to wait another week in total fear of those results.

I have never been treated with anything less than compassion, kindness and professionalism and feel very blessed to have been treated at the Royal Glamorgan. Staff on Ward 5 and Ward 8 that I left are just so lovely I can't fault them.

Please pass on how truly grateful I am to Mr VW and his team of drs and breast care nurses. I owe them so much and can't praise them highly enough. Thankyou for caring for and about me.

I certainly made the right choice in travelling to Llantristant. The best decision I ever made!
