"Fantastic emergency eye care service"

About: Cheltenham General Hospital

I experienced sudden and temporary loss of sight in one eye on Saturday evening.

This was a very frightening situation.

My husband telephoned the emergency eye care number.

After describing the problem we were able to speak to a specialist eye doctor within a few seconds.

The doctor asked a number of questions regarding my symptoms and was able to quickly reassure me and explain that this sounded like a type of migraine. I was offered an appointment to attend the emergency eye clinic the following morning.

The doctor at the eye clinic was very professional and provided a thorough examination.

After checking with the Consultant the eye doctor confirmed the diagnosis of ocular migraine. I was very pleased to be reassured about my eyesight. The service was excellent. Thank you to all concerned.
