"no communication!"

About: University Hospital Lewisham

I am now 12 weeks pregnant and have been waiting for an appointment since finding out at 7 weeks. I finally received an appointment letter which arrived the day after the scheduled appointment! I have called the Women's Health department on 3 occasions and have been told on each occasion that someone will get back to me to reschedule. I find this particularly worrying as I have pre-existing diabetes so thought that I would have had seen a midwife a lot earlier. This is my first baby so I am finding the whole experience nerve-wracking and underwhelming. I feel as if you are left by Lewisham Hospital to deal with things on your own. What is particularly upsetting is that I had maintained since finding out I was expecting that Lewisham would be my hospital of choice for antenatal care as I had heard good things from other people, however I now feel that I have no choice but to ask my GP to be referred to another hospital!
