"What fabulous care"

About: Queen Victoria Hospital (East Grinstead)

At the beginning of July I can in for preventative surgery and had a double mastectomy with immediate reconstruction.

The care I received by all nursing staff and consultants from the moment I stepped into Main Theatre Reception to my discharge 3 nights later was amazing.

I was unfortunately re-admitted one week later for an infection and I cannot stress enough how kind and caring all the nursing staff and consultants were.

The QVH have a superb team and I am so very grateful for all their support and I am truly grateful for all they have done for me - Well done QVH and thank you all.

I know that people slate hospital food, but I can honestly say that the food was very good and if being critical, the only criticism I would make is that perhaps they could consider the vegetarians a little bit more, but it was not a major thing !

Dear Susan

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. I will certainly pass on your kind comments to the staff involved with your care, who I am sure will be delighted to know that their professionalism and empathy have helped you through your journey.

In regard to the food choice I will shortly be meeting with the Head Chef and Facilities Manager to discuss the vegetarian options and hope to make some changes.

Once again thank you for your comments and I wish you all the very best with your continued recovery.

Kind regards,

Nicolle Ferguson, Patient Experience Manager
