The staff are superb, caring, demonstrating emotional intelligence at all times. The consultant psychiatrist is brilliant with exceptional caring and compassionate skills. The other psychiatrist is excellent with a clear patient centred model of care. The Clinical Services manager has changed my life with positive psychology. They have helped me to bring the best out of me and facilitate my recovery through the support of brilliant staff. What is urgently required is the development of leadership and management. The staff with psychology degrees should add value to the day to day management by engaging with patients on a more structured plan of activities - cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness, emotional intelligence, deep transformational dialogue , making adjustments to my life that really make a real difference. It requires a clear nursing structure- a charge nurse or sister and three associate - one research and development, one clinical care management , one leadership development. This hospital has great potential.Thank you all.
