"Execellent anbulance care on the way to Leeds, during the Sheffield floods"

About: Leeds General Infirmary / Cardiology Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust

(as the patient),

I had a heart attack and was rushed to Leeds General, staying on the cardiac ward. I had a stent implant after the heart attack on the CCU. The ambulance team were excellent, well trained, they made good informed decisions. The doctors at Leeds were prompt and skilled in their job. For my benefit, nothing could have been better. I was thankful for the prompt and caring response to my condition.

I was apprehensive at leaving my partner who is a poorly person, I am an old man and resigned to my ultimate fate, though hanging on to enjoy all there is.

I must thank the ambulance driver and his lady colleague for their prompt action and decision making and for getting me to Leeds safely and quickly in the most atrocious weather (as it was the weekend of the Sheffield floods).

Thanks should go, not only to the ambulance team, but also Dr.s Wheatcroft and Younger, and all the staff at Leeds CCU.
