"Thank you"

About: Doncaster Royal Infirmary / General surgery

(as the patient),

I have never been to this hospital before, I found parking really easy, the staff really welcoming, and the treatment fantastic. The nurses went out of their way to be helpful, and one especially took personal care to ensure I was ok, and even asked that I let her know some results I was awaiting. I couldnt ask for a more caring team, I have always been a private patient previously (through work) now I am retired and NHS patient, but the treatment I received and the care were every bit as good as I had in the past at a Private hospital. Thank you to all the team.

Hi - What lovely feedback! I will ensure this is passed on to staff in general surgery and I will also include in our weekly staff eNewsletter.

I hope you are recovering well and taking it easy!

Regards

Gill

Update posted by KNEEPATIENT (the patient)

The morning I was going for knee injection I found a lump in my breast, so was very distressed, although this had nothing to do with the procedure that day.

I was visibly upset and the nurse who dealt with me and discharged me put her arms round me and reassured me. I couldn't ask for better treatment.

Thank you for your response. I rang next day to tell her the lump was innocent!

So pleased to hear our staff were able to reassure you and all the staff you came across had the same high standards of care and professionalism, this is just as it should be and is lovely to hear.

Great news that the results you received gave you the all clear, hope you are feeling much better.

Gill
