"wonderful birth experience"

About: North Middlesex Hospital

Our little boy was born on Tuesday 19th July 2016, at 5.30 pm in the maternity centre at the hospital. Having had a bad experience at another hospital for our daughter's birth I was so relieved to have had a great experience throughout this time. From the first checking in appointment, scans and prenatal checks and then from the time I arrived in triage to giving birth to our son I felt looked after, respected and treated with kindness and dignity. The staff in the birth centre were amazing, the midwife and student were so supportive, gentle and caring, as were all of the staff involved afterwards. The small things liking making sure I had enough to eat and drink etc were very much appreciated. I couldn't find fault with any of the care we received. The birth centre itself is like a hotel, beautiful clean airy rooms (especially as it was the hottest day of the year) and en suite bathrooms. Thank you to you all.

Thank you for such positive feedback.

I am so glad that you were happy with all the staff who supported you throughout your labour and also that you found the birthing suite suited all your needs.

I am the head of midwifery, g.slevin@nhs.net and will be sharing your comments with the team.
