I had been diagnosed with bladder cancer about 15 months ago and was treated in outpatients first but had to be admitted to hospital for an operation to remove bladder and prostate as well as lymph glands. The operation at the Royal Hallamshire went well and I was discharged 16 days later and will have to receive chemotherapy in four weeks. But my stay in hospital was from start to finish was the most important and I cannot thank the doctors, surgeon, nurses and everyone else enough.
