"Care of Dad"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres

(as a relative),

My wee 82 year old dad was involved in the most horrific unimaginable accident where a learner driver on a motor bike ploughed into him while on his mobility scooter he had so many broken bones, head and neck injuries that caused fluid on his lungs and infection after infection to attack his body, the nurses, doctors and consultants of ward 4 and 5 never gave up they fought as hard as dad did to keep him here but sadly he lost his fight.

Our family would like to say a massive thank you to all the nurses but especially Jan, Karen Kelly and Emma from ward 5 you all made my dads last days as comfortable and dignified as they could ever have been, your care and attention was amazing special love to Emma who was there at the end and held his hand thank you to every last one of you from the bottom of our hearts xx

Dear ally b,

I'm so sorry for your loss, losing a parent is a devastating event regardless of the circumstances.

You've touched our hearts deeply with your words and sentiments especially taking the time to praise the staff as you have done.

I will ensure your kind and loving comments are shared with the staff of Ward 4 and Ward 5 to ensure they realize just how much their care and compassion meant to you as a family.

Kind regards

Gwen
