Having been referred by my GP at the end of 2015, I had an appointment with the ENT consultant on 26th February 2016, which was cancelled by the hospital with no explanation on the 22nd February 2016. My new appointment was confirmed as 22nd April 2016, which I attended and was seen on time. I needed to get an MRI scan which was carried out in June 2016 and an allergy test which was carried out on 12th July 2016. My follow up appointment was confirmed as 10:15am on 22nd July 2017 and I arrived approximately 30 minutes early. At no time was I told that there was a delay in appointments, although I did hear the reception staff advising people checking in that there was a slight delay. At 11:30am, 1 hour 15 minutes after my appointment time, I had still not been seen by the ENT consultant and advised the reception staff that I could not wait any longer as I had other business appointments to keep. Apart from the fact that this has taken over 6 months so far, being left for 1 hour 15 mins past the appontment time without explanation is totall unaccepable
