What I liked

I am writing this on behalf of my grandad.

He has been at the hospital now for coming up to 5 weeks, and doesnt want to go home! he loves it here, he is on the renal ward, and everyone has been superb! All the staff have been great and although a few have been a little hard to understand its nothing we havent been able to get through, he loves the food, he calls the nurses his angels! what more could an 82 year old man want! he said its like a hotel! After a little hitch in sorting out his care package for when he goes home, everyone has pulled together and helped me out imensly in getting him the right care he needs for his return home on monday! so i and my Grandad thankyou all!

What could be improved

In his eyes nothing! in mine ... the lifts as i have taken the stairs on many visits now as the lifts take to long and are very over crowed. this is not so great when you are 21 weeks pregnant! I need a nurse to sort me out by the time i get to floor 7!

It's a Friday and been a long day already, but it is so nice to read such lovely comments - we really do value them and I will make sure that they are passed on to our renal team (of whom we are very proud by the way, as they run one of the best services in the country!).

On the lifts - good news! We're about to invest a lot of money - well over a £1 million - in upgrading the lifts in the Lister's main tower block. For all the right reason, of course, we hope that you won't have a need to use them in future, but should you need to then we're pretty sure you'll notice a big improvement.
