"no one has answered my calls"

About: Broomfield Hospital / Urology

(as the patient),

Can someone please tell me why Urology reception have a phone number.

1. They never answer it when I call

2. After several rings and no one picking up it diverts me to another number

So there is not much point the medical staff on this department saying 'contact' reception. In fact I defy anyone to get an answer at anytime on any of the phone numbers for this department. Yes, I appreciate phones cannot be answered at times due to clinics being held, but then what is the point of being allocated a specialist nurse if they cannot be contacted ANYTIME!

No need for anyone to contact me now Jonathan thank you. Unless something is going to change, patients will keep getting diverted to the main appointments centre instead of being able to talk directly with Urology reception or specialist nursing staff.

Update posted by 1Freddie (the patient)

I have very recently had a second TURP operation and have a concern regarding bleeding that I would like to discuss with one of the specialist nurses in urology at Broomfield.

The two nurse contact numbers I have are not available due to annual leave so I am diverted to urology reception, where because no one picks up the phone I have to leave a short message and contact number. This was this morning 04/08/2017, it is now 16.20 and I still have had no reply.

Disgraceful service.
