"My short stay as a day patient"

I was admitted as a day patient in the Pre-Op Care Unit on 18th July for the afternoon list.

I was looked after very well and advised every step of the way as to what was going on. Unfortunately the morning surgery over ran due to unforeseen circumstance, but they still managed to do my procedure at 4.30. It felt best by nursing staff and myself to stay overnight. I was looked after extremely well, with plenty of observations, food and refreshment and even some toiletries (as I had not come prepared for an overnight stay) The staff were extremely helpful, understanding and kind and made time for all their patients. I also could not fault the cleanliness of both the POCU and Sunderland Day Cas Unit.
