What I liked

I cannot fault the surgical care and aftercare at all.

What could be improved

I had to ask for a wheelchair and porter to take my wife down to the pick up point after major surgery, this should have been done without asking. Also we had to wait for medication from the pharmacy about 1445hrs to nearly 1800hrs before we could leave. We had been told earlier that my wife would be ready to leave mid afternoon.

Anything else?

The food at lunch and supper was to my mind very poorly cooked and totally unappetizing. I am sure the food is of the best quality but ruined in the kitchen. Outside the entrance, under the canopy it was dirty and unswept. I arrived on Friday and visited every day untill Wednesday and there was a dirty dressing with blood on it throughout and it was littered with cigarette ends. Could this area not be kept swept and clean. It doesn.t do justice to the rest of the hospital
