"A wonderful hospital"

About: Huddersfield Royal Infirmary

I was looked after so kindly in this hospital, where I have just spent a week on IV antibiotics recovering from sepsis. The staff were lovely to me - from the cleaners to the consultants - and I am so grateful. I was mostly on Urology, but was on several wards, and they were all clean, as quiet as possible at night, and I was almost constantly supplied with tea, biscuits, and good, plain freshly cooked food to eat. The doctor came to see me every day and explained what was happening to me and what the plan was, and the nurse was always available for advice and care, and painkillers! I have spent time (as a family carer) in many many hospitals over the years and seen lots of different care and ward settings and I can only think of the Christie that could rival this one, for just really getting the basics right. I really couldn't think of a single bad word to say. I just want to say thank you!
