About: Westmorland General Hospital / Langdale Unit

(as the patient),

I had fall and I have bad sight so I went to the Langdale Unit at Westmorland General Hospital. Good helpful staff about when you can see well. I’m just fed up of sitting as there is nothing to do due to eye sight. Sometimes due to lack of staff I have problems in getting staff to me ASAP! But otherwise the service and care is excellent.

Thank you for your posting. I am very grateful to you for taking the time to feed back your experience.

I was very pleased to read your supportive comments about the helpful staff and that the service and care you received was excellent.

I take on board you point about the lack of activities. This is an issue we are trying to improve and indeed we have recently orderd a variety of items to help alleviate some of the boredom associated with being in a hospital. Examples range from board games to more sophistacated items like TV's and electronic games / devices.

I will take great pleasure in feeding back your comments to all members of the team who I know will be very grateful to you!
