"Exellent care"

About: Royal Bournemouth General Hospital

Having been rushed to Poole A&E with a suspected infection caused by renal colic, I must first praise the ambulance and A&E team at Poole. On being told that I had recently had a CT scan for the problem, an immediate transfer to Urology at RBH was arranged. Again, praise to the ambulance team for a speedy transfer at 2:00 a.m.! Excellent care and reception on arrival at ward 15. Seen by a member of the doctor's team Saturday morning and operated on Saturday afternoon!

Home on Sunday afternoon. 7day NHS? It's already there. Please don't fix what isn't broken!

Dear ‘Anonymous’

Sorry to hear you had such a busy and, I would imagine, uncomfortable weekend. We are however very pleased to know that the co-ordinated service across Poole and Bournemouth along with the excellent support of our ambulance service made the period of discomfort shorter than it might otherwise have been.

It is good to know that you were welcomed onto ward 15 and made comfortable until seen by the Dr’s team on Saturday morning and ready for your operation by the afternoon.

I will pass on your kind comments to the ward who I know will appreciate them and wish you a speedy recovery.

Regards

Patient Engagement Team
