"Day trip for angiogram"

About: East Surrey Hospital / Cardiology

(as the patient),

I am an older patient with a previous cardiac bypass who understandably could be worried by any further cardiac investigations. I was contacted by a member of staff two days before my appointment to provide details and to put my mind at rest about the angiogram procedure. It was a difficult day for the unit as they had an number of beds filled by A & E patients so day admissions and treatments had to be rearranged but the nursing staff were brilliant in doing this. I think there were problems with my angiogram due to the previous surgery and I ended up with two for the price of one but the staff in the angiogram suite were so kind and took the time to make sure that everything went well. The post procedure care could not have been better. I am not sure where they got so many friendly efficient nurses from but I certainly appreciated it. The staff in the angiogram unit made the whole angiogram maybe not pleasant but at least not something to dread. Thank you all
