My dad has been in the chest ward for some time and twice now we have had severely soiled (with lumps of faeces) sent home for washing, What has happened to infection control?
Having been part of the nursing service in the past, this would never have happened, item such as this would have been sluiced out before sending home. As it is we visit most days but if that wasn't the case just think of the odour and the embarrassment it would cause the individual.
