"Shocking"

About: New Cross Hospital

I had an appointment at 07:00 this morning (11-07-16) for an MRI scan.

I duly arrived at 06:50 and the whole department was shut.

At 07:00 a member of staff turned up who turned out to be a Locum and was infact the person who eventually did my scan. This member of staff had no keys and was running up and down the stairs trying to find a member of the Scan department to no avail whilst apologising for this issue.

Other patients arrived for their appointments and it was not until 07:35 that someone who had a key arrived.

There was no apology whatsoever from any of the other staff and I was eventually seen at 07:55.

This is an absolute disgrace and is totally unacceptable.

If appointments are booked at 07:00 then staff should be on station and ready to go by 06:45.

The staff or management should be severely reprimanded as in this day and age with modern communications there is no excuse for management not knowing in advance that there is a problem and taking the necessary steps to remedy it.

You should be ashamed of yourselves and the CEO should and will be made aware of this. My appointment was at the Radiology department which is not listed below. They are more interested in carpark fees than service
